People for Parks intends to play a significant role in improving parks and recreation in East Multnomah County.  Improvements we intend to work for during the next few years include, but not in order:

Ø  Building organizational sustainability

Ø  Benefits From Parks Initiative- Park District Education

Ø  Expanded community gardens.

Ø  Improved after school programs.

Ø  Expanded summer recreation programs

Ø  Expanded youth sports programs

Ø  Completion of planned improvements at local parks currently unfunded by city resources.

Ø  Summer youth jobs to improve and protect parks and natural areas
